I just visited a client who was “conveniently” Grandfathered into a $130/month 384/384 DSL connection. A few hours on the phone with Verizon got this changed to a $80/month 3.0/768 Static IP business connection.
At first, I thought their DSL was broken since I was getting only 300 down.

I just bought a 1997 Accord Coupe with 43k miles. Everything checked seems to be in great shape except for the fact that a rodent of some sort used the engine bay as a toilet and the transmission’s reverse sensor as a chew toy. I continued the family tradition of purchasing old Japanese cars off AARP members. Unlike the Accord pictured above, I got wheels and tires as part of the deal.

I came across these red polypropylene bags near the registers and thought they might be a good alternative to the socially acceptable scam known as “gift bags.” They’re $1.49 and don’t crease and wrinkle like paper gift bags. The downside is that they don’t have cute pictures of puppies, balloons and creepy clowns on the side. With the money you save by purchasing and reusing these bags you can spend money on other scams like “abolishing poverty” and “your kid’s college fund.”
Here’s a blog entry with a bit more info on these bags.

A client brought in a spare 8125 so I could sync it up with her Exchange 2003 server. It’s been dealing so much with Windows Mobile 6 I couldn’t remember how to do this on this old old phone. You can’t do it through Outlook like WM6 allows. You have to configure a Server Source in ActiveSync.
You can fine detailed instructions here.

Balut 101:Shamlessly ripped from Wikipedia
A balut (Trứng vịt lộn or Hột vịt lộn in Vietnamese, Pong tea khon in Cambodian) is a fertilized duck (or chicken) egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell. They are considered delicacies of Asia and especially the Philippines, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Popularly believed to be an aphrodisiac and considered a high-protein, hearty snack, balut are mostly sold by street vendors at night in the regions where they are available. They are often served with beer. The Filipino and Malay word balut (balot) means “wrapped” – depending on pronunciation.
